"Quick Rain" in three movements for recorder quintet, winner of the 1999 competition sponsored by the Chicago Chapter of the American Recorder Society, was given its premier European performance on October 26, 2003, by the recorder ensemble PHILOMELA, in Paris, France.

"Rush," a new composition for piano, string quartet, and percussion, was given its premier performance March, 2003 in San Francisco, by members of the San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra.
